Cabinets of Curiosities first arose in Renaissance Europe, where they were intended to for a microcosm of the world. Objects included archaeology, geology, ethnography, natural history, art and antiquities. Some of the more famous cabinets came to form the core of the world's first museums.
I'm a collector of interesting things, and I'm trying to revive the tradition of cabinets of curiosities. I've now amassed a collection of antique coins, Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints, corals, fossils and fascinating books.
