Hello David, yes I believe that Colin Campbell is the player you identify. The game was played at Victoria Park on Sat 7 October 1893 between Essendon (VFA premiers) and South Adelaide who were the Sth Australian reigning premiers. The game was billed as the Intercolonial Championship. Essendon won the game and one paper recorded the score as 10.23 to 3.8. The Essendon team included champions such as Albert Thurgood, George Stuckey, Alick Dick, Charlie Forbes and Hall among others. regards Gregor EFC
Would anyone be able to identify which of these players is Colin Campbell, the rover who came from Tasmania? I believe he may be sixth from left in the middle row, but I'm not certain. Thanks.
What a lovely medal - love that hand engraving on the reverse

Essendon is one of the oldest clubs in the AFL, fielding a senior team since 1878. A founding member of the VFA and the VFL, this collection shows a tiny fraction of the rich heritage over the last 130 years.more About Us
