From dusty old box to living history
Whoever would have dreamt an old box of unidentified glass plate negatives could transform into a treasured family history! Thanks to digital technology, these old negatives have come alive. And along the way, mysteries and questions became evident - When and where was this taken? Who is this group of people? What does this sign in the background reveal? Thanks to family history, Trove, family genealogists and historic fashion studies, a story has emerged... taken by at least 3 photographers, from around 1900 to 1930, from Western Australia to rare WW1 images in Egypt to Victoria. And while some of the pictures have revealed their secrets, others are still unknown.
